The patriarchy is alive and well, thriving in ecosystems around you. I am here to smash it. I'll remove my make-up, tie my own boots, and entirely turn into a lesbian. The patriarchy exists within the confines of your mind. Every time you have a crush on a guy, that's the patriarchy speaking. Every time you hate another woman: patriarchy.
Just look at media and how it's unrepresentative of POC, the gays, and switched gender roles. Until today, I have been engrained in the patriarchy. I refuse to accept this any longer. If you're a feminist, if you think women deserve equal rights if not more rights than men, stand the fuck up! 🎀
