Unofficial birthday party

It's the last day of my 35th year!

35 has been a blast. I learned a lot. The best thing I did all year was buy my domain. I have always loved the Internet. 🛜 I bought myself cheap jewelry from Winners for a birthday present. It's a card, the ace of hearts. I love it. 

It was sunny today. That's all I can hope for tomorrow, too. Tomorrow I'll be basking in the glory of 36. I'm not the type of person to get sad on their birthday as I like to celebrate growth.

Out my window, the streets feed cars to the highway. The signs are green and yellow with directions printed on them, as if anyone's going anywhere. The Christmas staff party is the 8th of December and I'll consider it my unofficial birthday party. 

Is it a surprise that all I do when I'm not at work is think and talk about work? I try to focus on my creative interests but find myself watching that video of Tarek's friend singing in my restaurant, in booth 13. In my favourite section, named after my favourite thing. It's about damn time Ottawa showed me some respect. Thank you for the job. I make twice as much money on a shorter shift than I did in Toronto.
